Open House

We had a wonderful turn out at Open House! 20 out of 26 families stopped by to visit the classroom. The students were able share their writing and even log into Google Classroom on their laptops. Thank you so much for your support as this can make all the difference in a child's education!

Community Helper Interviews

Everyone did a great job interviewing their community helper. They were very polite, used a strong voice, and made eye contact with every question. I'm so proud to be their teacher!
Stay tuned for the video.....

Dinosaur Subtraction

We love subtraction when it is in a game! Enjoy practicing this game at home.

Parts of Speech

Nouns, verbs, and adjectives have been the focus of our word study this month. Nick Noun, Vicky Verb, and Alice Adjective were great helpers!

Puzzle Time at Snack

We enjoy working on a puzzle during snack or as a "reward" on Fridays.

First Week Math Manipulatives Exploration

We have enjoyed getting to know each other this week. Many different cooperative activities were focused on to better our friendships. In Math, we learned a new game practicing ways to make ten and also spent time in "Guided Discovery" using several different manipulatives. We are now ready to start using these tools during Math!

Summer Learning

I am feeling energized and uplifted after spending last week connecting and collaborating with a group of teachers in our area.  We got together at North Country Education Services  for K-5 Literacy Workshop and had the most engaging, productive workshop!  Gail Bourn and Gretchen Draper of the National Writing Project in New Hampshire were the hosts of this event.  They provided many wonderful ideas to integrate writing into the content areas.  I can't wait to try some of them!
