Pizza Hut Book It Program
Our class is taking part in the Pizza Hut Book It program. This reading incentive program encourages the love of reading combined with my next favorite love....PIZZA!!
Veteran's Day Poem
We will be reciting a poem for our upcoming Veteran's celebration. Traditionally, we have invited Veterans in for a program, breakfast, and visit. This year, the third grade is responsible for memorizing this poem as well as singing a song.

Typing Practice Needed
This week, we worked on a spelling assignment in our Google Classroom involving quite a bit of typing. The students typed their spelling words and then chose 3 words to type into sentences. Several students easily finished this within the time frame, but some did not. In technology class, Mrs Burkam has introduced a typing site (this has become a weekly "have to"). In the classroom, the students will be expected to practice their typing on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Any extra practice would be beneficial to the students. They may log in at home using their school email and password: 1234

Helping Your Child at Home

Using Whiteboards During Math
We often use whiteboards during Math to show our work while solving word problems. A quick picture of the board allows me to check for understanding when grading students' work. It saves paper too!
